This describes what SOLYX collects when you sign in, link a game account, or play on the server, and why. It's written in plain terms and kept accurate to what the site and server actually do — it isn't a substitute for professional legal advice, but it's not boilerplate either.

What we collect

From Discord (when you sign in)

  • Your Discord ID, username, and avatar.
  • Your roles in the SOLYX Discord server, used to derive site permissions (staff, department flair) and keep them in sync.

From the game server (once you link an account)

  • Your FiveM/Rockstar licence identifier — the value the site checks on every connect to decide whether you're allowed to play.
  • A secondary Rockstar identifier, your Steam ID, and your connecting IP address. These exist specifically to catch someone evading a suspension by buying a new game key — see “Why we collect it” below.
  • Your in-game characters' names, jobs, and last-played time, synced so they can show up on your profile.

From using the site and server

  • Discipline records — warning points, standing, ban reasons and durations.
  • Forum posts, bug reports, suggestions, and department applications you submit.
  • Standard technical logs from our hosting providers (see “Who we share data with”).

Why we collect it

Every field above exists to run the server, not to profile you. Specifically:

  • Deciding who's allowed to connect, and enforcing suspensions/bans.
  • Detecting ban evasion — matching a Steam ID or secondary licence against a currently-suspended account before letting a fresh game key back in. IP matches alone never trigger a block; they're flagged for a staff member to review, since shared networks and VPNs make IP too easy to get wrong.
  • Showing your characters, standing, and activity on your own profile.
  • Running the forums, applications, and reporting tools.

Who we share data with

We don't sell data. It passes through:

  • Discord — for OAuth sign-in and bot functionality. Discord's own privacy policy governs what they do with it.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.
  • Neon — hosts the database.
  • Rockstar Games / FiveM — the game platform your licence and identifiers originate from; not something we control.

How long we keep it

Account and character data is kept while your account is active. Discipline records (warnings, ban history) are kept longer even after points age off, since a full history matters for consistent enforcement — the same reasoning behind the evasion check above. If you want your account and associated data deleted, ask in Discord; we'll remove what we reasonably can, minus records we're required to keep for moderation integrity (e.g. a ban record tied to a rule violation).

Age

SOLYX requires players to be 16 or older — see the rules. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
