Question 1

Is there a wipe / can I keep my character?

Accepted Answer

Characters, money, and property persist between sessions. We only wipe in rare, announced circumstances (major economy resets), and never without notice.

Question 2

How do I join SOLYX?

Accepted Answer

Read the rules, open FiveM and connect to SOLYX (search the server list or use our connect link), and pick a character name. That's it — no application to just play. Joining Discord is recommended for announcements and support.

Question 3

Do I need a microphone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SOLYX is voice-first roleplay — you speak in-character through in-game proximity voice. A basic headset is fine.

Question 4

What is FiveM?

Accepted Answer

FiveM is a modification framework for Grand Theft Auto V that lets communities run their own multiplayer servers with custom rules, jobs, vehicles, and scripts. It's free, requires a legitimate copy of GTA V on PC (Steam, Rockstar, or Epic), and runs alongside the base game — it does not touch GTA Online.

Question 5

How do I install FiveM?

Accepted Answer

1. Make sure GTA V is installed and has been launched at least once. 2. Download FiveM from fivem.net and run the installer. 3. Open FiveM, let it update, and sign in with a Cfx.re account (free). 4. Search the server list for SOLYX, or use the connect link pinned in our Discord.

Question 6

Do I need to apply or be whitelisted to play?

Accepted Answer

No. SOLYX is a public server — anyone can connect and start a character. Applications (on the Apply page) are only for specific roles: police, EMS, and running a registered business.

Question 7

The game won't connect / I get a timeout

Accepted Answer

Restart FiveM and GTA V, verify your GTA V files in Steam/Rockstar, and disable any mods or trainers. If it still fails, post in the Discord support channel with a screenshot of the error.
